Weight loss
Eurodiet is a method of weight management which includes medical supervision. It involves a progressive and intelligent modification of your eating habits to gently bring you to your optimal weight, and help you stay there! It preserves the muscle mass by providing an adequate high-nutritional-value protein intake, thus promoting a well-known satiating effect. It also ensures an appropriate fibre intake and low glycaemic indexes. Easy to stick to, thanks to the diversity and broad range of specifically formulated products, the Eurodiet programme includes 4 stages to help you recover a balanced diet. Individual coaching by health professionals specifically trained to this method is an essential factor for the maintenance of weight loss in the long term. This is a personalised programme which entails support and follow up by a health professional, adapted dieting, monitoring of motivational level and psychobehavioural changes, all aimed at the achievement of sustainable weight loss.
Rapid weight loss
Do you want to lose weight quickly? Eurodiet is a medically supervised weight-management method which, by modifying your habits and attitudes, enables you to reach your optimal body weight and maintain it! Because excessively rapid slimming and unsupervised dieting can be hazardous for your health, Eurodiet has always held that dieting should only be undertaken under the supervision of a Health professional.
Achieve weight loss
Eurodiet is a comprehensive nutritional reprogramming method supervised by health professionals. After a Eurodiet accredited doctor has performed an individual assessment with the help of innovative and specific tools, he will devise your personalised programme around the 4 basic Eurodiet phases. Naturally, your health, your target weight loss, your body composition, your eating habits and your motivation will be monitored throughout your programme.
Low-carbohydrate content products
Also called low-carb. products, they supply very little simple carbohydrates and therefore have a very low glycaemic index. The glycaemic index indicates the quantity of easily-available glucose supplied by the digestion of a food, i.e. the addition of free glucose to that resulting from the digestion of starch and sugar. Diets with a high fibre and protein content and a low glycaemic index seem particularly adapted to achieve a healthy nutritional balance.
Excess weight, obesity
According to the WHO (World Health Organisation), excess weight and obesity are defined as an abnormal or excessive accumulation of body fat, potentially hazardous for health. The Body Mass Index (BMI) is one of the measurements which enables the approximate determination of excess weight or possible obesity. Because each person is unique, and because obesity or excess weight may put your health at risk, talk about it with your doctor.
BMI
The Body Mass Index (BMI) is the weight/height ratio frequently used to evaluate excess weight or obesity in adults. It corresponds to your body weight divided by your height, squared, and is expressed in kg/m2. The WHO defines as overweight, persons whose BMI is equal or superior to 25 and obese, persons whose BMI is equal or superior to 30. There are other methods of determining abnormal or excessive body fat accumulation. Speak about it with your doctor.
